Our booking for the Disney Cruise Adventure has been affected, and we know it can be overwhelming to manage the booking process again, especially for our Disney friends traveling from overseas with flights and hotels already arranged.
If you also received the cancelled reservation email, we hope this information can give you clarity. We reached out to Disney Cruise Line’s customer service to understand the situation better. Their team has been patient, kind, and incredibly thorough, and we’re sharing what we learned in hopes it helps anyone else who is also affected. 💙
What We Know
- The maiden voyage of Disney Cruise Adventure has been postponed.
- If your reservation is affected, you should already have received an email from Disney Cruise Line.
- The customer service team has been very understanding and responsive, carefully explaining each step, double-checking details when needed, and making sure everything was clear.
Key Points for Affected Guests
- Payment deadlines lifted
You no longer need to complete your payment by the previously stated date (for example, 27 September). - Eligibility remains
Even if you haven’t paid in full yet, you are still eligible for the 50% discount on your next booking. - Discount is on the new prevailing rate
Example: if your cancelled cruise was USD 1,000 but the new rate for your new reservation is USD 2,000, the 50% discount applies to the USD 2,000.
The discount will be automatically applied, so you don’t need to request it separately. - .Important date: 8 October
All affected bookings will be officially cancelled on 8 October 2025, and you’ll receive an email confirming the cancellation. - Rebooking options
You can:
Rebook now through customer service (you’ll be charged the full prevailing rate first, and within 24–72 hours after 8 October, your invoice will be updated to reflect the 50% discount).
Or rebook after 8 October via the website once your cancellation email arrives. - Payment options
When rebooking by phone, you can choose whether to:
Pay only the deposit now (recommended for ease).
Or pay the full amount immediately.
If you choose deposit only, you can complete the full payment after 8 October, once your current booking has been officially cancelled. - Guest names
Only the same guests listed in your original booking can be included in the rebooking, and they will be the ones eligible for the 50% discount on the new reservation. - Room flexibility
You do not need to choose the same room type; you can change categories (e.g., from Deluxe Inside Stateroom to Verandah). - Dining times
Two dining times are available: 5:45 PM or 8:15 PM. You’ll need to state your preference when booking, but don’t worry, this can be adjusted later if needed. - Payment channels
If you make a new reservation by phone, you can either complete the payment immediately during the call or within 24 hours using the email link provided
We understand that this whole process from cancelled reservations to handling payments and finding new dates, can feel challenging. Our thoughts are especially with all the Disney friends traveling from overseas whose hotel and flight arrangements have been affected. Some friends have shared that airlines like Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific may consider waivers or adjustments, so it’s worth checking directly with them.
At the heart of it all, we know that for Disney, safety and creating magical experiences always go hand in hand. We truly believe these changes are meant to improve the journey for every guest, and we hope all of us will continue to find joy in Disney magic.
